This course offers an in-depth exploration of investment principles and the structure of financial markets, aimed at equipping students with the tools needed to make informed investment decisions. Topics include an overview of investment types, securities markets, and financial instruments such as equity, fixed-income securities, and derivatives. Students will gain a solid foundation in portfolio theory, learning to measure and manage risk and return, as well as construct diversified portfolios. Additional focus is placed on understanding market efficiency, asset pricing models, and investment vehicles like mutual funds, ETFs, and REITs. Through practical exercises, students will develop the analytical skills required for successful investment management and security analysis.
