Oregon State University-Cascades Campus · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
Analyzes how intersecting differences and oppressions structure the ways we understand, internalize, and experience love, sex/sexuality, and desire across cultures and even species. Uses interdisciplinary tools to examine the construction of problematic social and scientific categories as they harm both humans and nonhumans, and highlights alternative ways of understanding who we are and how we love. Empowers students to identify and reflect on personal experiences, and offers tools to create meaningful resistance, resilience, care, and freedom.
