Emphasizes interdisciplinary learning that brings together concepts from chemistry, biology, geology, and physics to study the field of Biogeochemistry. Explores earth systems including terrestrial, ocean and freshwater environments; water and energy cycles; carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulfur cycles. Explores biogeochemical cycles through Earth history and anthropogenic effects on these cycles.
