Theory of classical and modern techniques for analysis of data in the frequency and wavenumber domains with applications to real oceanographic and atmospheric data. Topics include sampling theory, one-dimensional autospectral analysis, multidimensional autospectral analysis, coherence and phase analysis, bi-spectral analysis, wavelet analysis, and confidence tests.
