Catalog description
Develops skills to plan, design, execute, and present a synthesis of a coastal field campaign. Explores techniques for collection of key field measurements in coastal oceanography. Examines specific topics such as fundamentals of seafloor mapping theory and practice, Conductivity/Temperature/Depth (CTD) instrument operation, deployment and data processing, Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) fundamentals, operation and analyses, and water and sediment sample collection and processing. Emphasizes field campaign planning and execution, data and sample stewardship, and archival.
