Examines four themes in the religious history of the American West: locations (the designation of particular places as special), migrations (movement in and out of the region), adaptations (changes over time, in response to changing conditions), and discrimination (recognition of difference, as well as prejudicial treatment based on perceived difference). Engages with various primary and secondary sources, including texts, films, and photographs. CROSSLISTED as HST 570 / REL 570 .
