Introduces the horticultural therapy profession. Provides an overview of program models for clinical and non-clinical settings. Explores working within an interdisciplinary treatment team in a healthcare setting. Covers basic medical terminology and core concepts of group therapy. Introduces community health and wellness connections, diversity, and stress reduction into the practice of therapeutic horticulture. Designed to be taken as part of a six-course series to help prepare students for the American Horticultural Therapy Association Board Exam for Certification.
