Prepares students to develop research protocols, consent forms, and other supplementary materials for submission to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Examines the ethical principles and federal regulations that govern human subjects research to inform the development of safe, ethical, and compliant research protocols. Explores and applies best practices of effective technical writing, critical reading and peer review/feedback.
