Explores the diversity of marine and estuarine birds: their life histories, foraging ecology, and their physiological and behavioral adaptations for the marine environment. Implements field and laboratory experiences to practice ornithological research methods including field observations, species identification, data visualization and interpretation, Discusses conservation concerns for marine and estuarine birds. Introduces topics in oceanography.
