Introduces the concepts of chemistry and the importance of these concepts in understanding color. Introduces the physical and chemical origins of color and human color perception. Investigates color in nature, art, and daily life through topics such as light interaction, molecular structure, and structural color. Explains phenomena including sunsets, rainbows, fireworks, color-blindness, and the Aurora Borealis. Emphasizes interdisciplinary connections between science, art, and history.
