Weld Cert & Inspection

Catalog description

This course covers the testing of welds including preparation of test samples, methods of inspection, and quality control. Welding codes adopted by the American Welding Society (AWS), American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME), and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will be reviewed. Students will prepare for welding certification exams such as NYSDOT Field Welder and AWS D1.1. Pre/Co-requisite(s): WLD 121, WLD 122, and WLD 123.
