Catalog description
An introduction to the principles of surgery, aseptic technique, and sterilization. Topics will include: instrumentation, suture types and techniques, infection control, wound management, surgical scrubbing, preparing the sterile field, disinfection, sterilization, and preparation for surgery. Prerequisite: SGT major; co-requisites: SGT 101, 102, and 103L.
