PTA Proc. I Lab

Catalog description

Skills of PTA 102 are practiced in this course. Students will master entry level skills on patient positioning and handling techniques, heat, cold, and hydro-therapy treatments, and massage. Students will become proficient with ambulation using assistive devices and patient transfer techniques. Activities of daily living skills, use of adaptive equipment, and wheelchair prescription and use will also be learned. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the PTA program or permission of instructor; co-requisites: PTA 101, 102, 107, and 108 or permission of instructor.
