Catalog description
This course provides opportunities to develop and lead physical education activities for the K-12 student populations. A significant portion of the course is devoted to the development of lesson plans and learning outcomes based on managing information from the National and State Standards in Physical Education. Performance based assessments are conducted by each student for the improvement of their leadership skills. Students will also analyze activity risks and devise safety plans to minimize the emotional and physical risks of activity participation. Prerequisite: matriculation in the PED.AS program or permission of instructor.
