Catalog description
Basic conducting technique with special emphasis on score reading and improved aural skills, rehearsal planning and efficient use of time, conducting leadership style, and ability to communicate effectively with an ensemble. Gestural skills include body awareness, clarity of movement, and expressiveness. Musical skills include knowledge of repertoire, piano and aural ability, and rehearsal preparation. Prerequisite(s): MUS 228 and permission of department.
