Catalog description

This course introduces students to the application of various types of industrial robots. Topics include robot configurations, risk assessments, end effectors, system integration, and programming techniques. Students will examine the kinematic relationships for applications involving robotic material handling. Students will have an opportunity to receive FANUC HandlingTool Operation and Programming Certification as part of the course. 3 lecture hours and 3 lab hours per week are required for this course. Prerequisites: ELT 215 and ELM 114 or permission of instructor.
