Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to common industrial automation components. Course material includes digital fundamentals and ladder logic while building additional schematic and safety skills. Students will learn the basic operation and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI's) while interacting with input sensors and output devices. One lecture hour and two lab hours per week are required for this course. Prerequisites: ELM-101 and ELM-104.
