Catalog description

This course introduces fluid power systems used in industry and explores the advantages and disadvantages of fluid power over other systems. Students will learn how to select and apply actuators, valves, and other common fluid power components to perform common industrial tasks. Students will learn to interpret fluid power schematics, correlate the schematic to physical devices, and build fluid power circuits using appropriate hardware. One lecture hour and two lab hours per week are required for this course.
