Catalog description

This course explores the nature of interpersonal conflict from a communication perspective. Students will study the processes and theories that inform the attitudes, conditions, and perspectives that influence conflict interaction. Students will examine how power, stress and anger, mediation, and negotiation affect conflict dynamics in interpersonal relationships, groups, and the workplace. Students will evaluate the most effective strategies, techniques, and tools for managing conflict.
