News Literacy

Catalog description

This course is a survey of the ongoing changes in mass media with a focus on news literacy. Students will be introduced to the skills required to make critical evaluations of news and information sources across the spectrum of traditional and new media, assessing the content for such factors as diversity, accuracy, and bias.
