Intro Chemistry

CHE 121 is designed as an introductory chemistry course for non-science majors and would also meet the needs of students who have little or no background in chemistry. CHE 121 is a course that would provide the basic chemistry background necessry to continue on to General Chemistry I (CHE 171). This course is not recommended for health science students and will not count toward the Math Science degree (MTS.AS). Students are strongly encouraged to co-register for MAT 114 if they intend to continue on to CHE 171. Prerequisite: MAT 088 or higher, except for MAT 104, 112, 113, and 118. An optional laboratory is offered for this course, CHE 121L, which may be taken concurrent with, or after completion of, CHE 121.
