Introduction to Oceanography

Catalog description

This introductory course will cover a broad array of related topics in Oceanography. These topics include the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the oceans. This course will explore the influence that geology, chemistry, and biology have on each other, along with the influence the oceans have on global climate. Human influence on the present physical and biological state of the marine evironments will also be discussed. This course satisfies both the SUNY General Education credit and a science elective. Optional co-requisite: AES 105L.
