Catalog description
Music composition is applied study in the creation of original abstract music. The creative impulse is developed by gaining an understanding melody, harmony, rhythm, and motive and phrase structure. Simple forms, such as binary and ternary, and theme and variations will be explored. The creation of an original music work is to be performed in recital. May be repeated for credit. Prerequisite: instructor consent.
