Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the constructs and practices of homeland security and emergency management. The course will examine effective responses to threats of terrorism and emergencies at the local, state, and national levels. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary issues involving governmental response to disasters, eliminating national vulnerabilities, identifying criminal activity involving terrorism, and collaborative efforts between local, state, and federal agencies.
