Catalog description

The systematic and interdisciplinary study of how the earth's natural systems function, and the impacts of human society within that environment. Students will be introduced to physical and biological systems that create the conditions that surround an organism (environment). The course will explore how perturbations to those systems impact human and non-human communities. Emphasis will be placed on the scientific investigaion of sustainable solutions to environmental issues and steps toward stewardship. NOTE: Note: Students who wish to take the 4 credit hour lab version of this course should register for ENVI 215. GER: Biology Non-lab
