Catalog description
A comparative study of the art forms of non-Western based societies. Attempts to provide a basis for aesthetic appreciation of the works of the majors: Africa, Oceanic, Pre-Colombian, Native Americas, Asian, and Islamic cultures. A tour of the Oriental Institute of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago is a requirement of the course. GER: Intercultural Understanding
