Description: This course focuses on developing the statistical skills graduate students will utilize in deciphering the wealth of data available today. The course focuses on concepts and conclusions rather than on computations. Topics include descriptive statistics, basic probability, confidence interval, hypothesis testing and p-values, analysis of variance, design of experiments, categorical data analysis, multiple linear regression, logistic regression, and nonparametric statistics. This course cannot be used as a prerequisite for other statistics courses.
