Description: An introductory course for sports media majors and an examination of the multibillion-dollar global sports industry. This course examines the state of the industry and professional careers associated with it. Topics include the evolution of sports media, racial, gender and inclusiveness issues in sports, multimedia sports journalism and ethics in the 21st century, sports communications and sports marketing.
