Catalog description

Description: This course is specifically geared to students who are taking Elementary Spanish II ( SPAN 1813 ), and that want to pursue a career in the health professions. This means that you need to be enrolled in SPAN 1813 and Spanish for Health Care Professionals the same semester or have taken SPAN 1813 already. You will learn vocabulary, dialogs, and structure to help greet patients, take vital signs, interview to find out the chief complaint, review medical history, give a physical exam, and recommend prescriptions or follow-up instructions.
