Description: Fundamentals of weed biology and ecology aimed at understanding life cycles, growth characteristics, and ecological impacts. Identification of common weeds in South-Central US production systems utilizing live plants, hands-on activities, and field visits. Holistic system approach to understanding weed population dynamics and integrated weed management with special attention to chemical weed management alongside cultural, mechanical, and biological control methods. Introductory concepts in herbicide-resistant weeds. Previously PLNT 3113 & 3211. May not be used for Degree Credit with PLNT 5013 .
