Description: This course is designed for students in the Opportunity Orange Scholars program, enrolled in their first semester. Course content will include navigating the local and state-wide resources available to adults with disabilities such as Developmental Disabilities Services, Department of Rehabilitation Services, Supplemental Security Insurance, along with personal finances, and Medicaid or health insurance. This course will include learning both within and outside of a classroom setting, to ensure students have the opportunity to develop and practice skills in a real-life environment.
