Catalog description

Description: The first group piano class of a two-course sequence prepares music industry majors in the development of functional piano skills necessary for songwriting and programming/recording. Students will learn to play one octave scales, root position triads, and simple chord progressions associated with popular music. Basic fluency in musical notation is assumed before taking the course.
