This course emphasizes the relation between the underlying science of human genetics, the study of genomes (genomics), and the medical social issues that are emerging. Through hands-on activities, students learn about groundbreaking technologies like genome sequencing and gene editing and how these technologies impact diverse fields ranging from forensics to anthropology often leading to ethical dilemmas.
