Course examines comparative analysis of media systems, news production, entertainment formats, cultural representations, imbalances in international information flow, debates over media imperialism, and the interplay between local identities and global forces. Current issues will help identify the roles international media play in shaping values, ideology, and power dynamics within varied international contexts.
