Social Determinants of Health and Public Health Equity

Description: This course focuses on the social and economic conditions under which people live that affect their health. We will explore how social determinants of health such as health care cost, access, and quality, economic stability, education access and quality, neighborhood and built environment, and social and community context influence the health of populations. We will also examine the role of public policy in shaping health outcomes for communities.
