Catalog description

Description: Water resources are key to the success of societies in all of their various forms. This course connects fundamental concepts of water resources, including natural processes of the hydrological cycle and societal threats to water quantity and quality, to a water security conceptual framework. With reference to SDG 6, topical issues will be explored in major international case studies to help students develop an awareness and appreciation for the multiple perspectives of water as a precious resource, commodity, and point of justice. May not be used for degree credit with GEOG 4093 .
