Catalog description
Description: This course examines the causes and consequences of international trade. It is structured around recent research papers at the forefront of the field. Students will learn techniques for estimating trade models and assessing counterfactuals as relates to the effects of global value chains, foreign direct investment (FDI), and multinational production, as well as the implications of trade on inequality, the international diffusion of ideas, and other economic outcomes. Course previously offered as ECON 5633.
