Description: This course provides a foundational introduction to mathematical tools essential for advanced economic analysis. We will delve into cornerstone mathematical techniques in economics such as optimization theory and comparative statics. The curriculum covers matrix algebra, differential and integral calculus, optimization, differential and difference equations, and optimal control theory, with applications drawn from economic theory.
