Description: This course is designed to explore the role of coaching in promoting innovation and change within a school or other organizations. While “coaching” in schools is often seen as synonymous with “instructional coaching” this course will take a broader view. In this class we will examine the role of coaching, how to set up and manage a coaching culture, and how to evaluate the success of coaching programs. Additionally, this class will explore multiple coaching models, conversational frameworks, and discuss the practical skills needed to be an effective coach.
