Catalog description

Description: An introduction to the principles and practices of forensic chemistry, with a focus on the analytical techniques and chemical analyses important in criminal investigations. This lecture course will cover the critical statistical practices necessary for taking convincing quantitative measurements. Analytical techniques including chromatography, UV/Vis & IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, will be introduced and discussed alongside historical forensic case studies. May not be used for degree credit with CHEM 4033 .
