Catalog description

Description: Neurobiological underpinnings of reading. Cognitive, neural, genetic, and environmental factors that contribute to both typical and atypical reading development. Identification and function of neural circuits involved in reading. Neurobiological mechanisms underlying reading disorders such as dyslexia. Recommended prep: CDIS 4542 /5542 or other background/experience with foundations of reading, dyslexia, or neural language processing. May not be used for degree credit with CDIS 4562 .
