Dramaturgy

Catalog description

Course introduces dramaturgy as a practice and profession. Course explores muliple dramaturgical methods and theatrical genres. Covers theoretical frameworks that intersect with the study and production of theatre. Students gain skills in research and writing, and explore digital tools for creating dramaturgical materials. Students complete authentic projects that prepare them to serve as dramaturgs for productions and that inform their practices as directors, designers, actors, and theatre- makers.
