Catalog description

This is a unique course that is designed to include a supervised clini- cal practice experience (SCPE) component and a summative process component, prior to the completion of the PA program curriculum. The Preceptorship SCPE provides the student with an opportunity to gain additional knowledge and skills in an inpatient or outpatient clinical set- ting of their choice. The 4-week SCPE is designed to provide the student with an interactive, problem-based learning opportunity for the medi- cal discipline of their choosing. The summative process portion of the course includes the program’s summative evaluation of student medical knowledge, skill, and behaviors and additional preparation for national board examination prior to the completion of the PA program curriculum.
