Catalog description

This is a four-week clinical experience in emergency department setting where students work with board-certifi ed emergency medicine provid- ers. This rotation is designed to provide the student with an interactive, problem-based learning opportunity. Students will acquire clinical experi- ence through evaluation and management of critically ill patients under direct supervision of their Preceptor. The team approach to patient care and safety is emphasized while students participate in the work-up, diag- nosis, treatment, and education of the emergency medicine patient and their family.
