Catalog description

This is a four-week clinical experience in the surgical, in-patient, and out-patient setting where students work with board-certifi ed surgeons and their physician assistants. This rotation is designed to provide the student with an interactive, problem-based learning opportunity. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in the pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative management of the surgical patient. The student will assist in the operating room as required.
