Behavioral Health

Catalog description

The Behavioral Health course will provide students with an understand- ing of defi nitions, recognition, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. Concentrations will focus primarily on clinical medicine; physical diagno- sis; pharmacotherapeutics; and medical humanities and professionalism. The use of small group activities will lead to a greater understanding of the humanities, clinical reasoning, and interventions. At the conclusion of the course, students will have an understanding on how to approach, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
