The Hematology course covers blood, blood forming elements, and hema- tologic-based diseases. Crucial to understanding hematologic clinical medicine is a thorough understanding of the concentrations of clinical diagnostics and pharmacotherapeutics. This section of the course will provide students with the ability to order and interpret the appropriate diagnostic testing to manage hematologic disease.
