and Information Systems This course provides an overview of issues relevant to managing a clini- cal practice. Topics include personnel and facilities management; busi- ness and other permits; licensing and liability concerns; vendors and sup- plies; hazardous waste disposal; contracts with third party payers; billings and collections; marketing and customer service; and other aspects of practice management. Students also learn about medical records sys- tems; data sharing with labs, hospitals, and third party payers; inventory software; computerized fi nancial systems; and other aspects of data management.
