Catalog description

The LPN-BSN transition course is intended for Licensed Practical Nurses seeking advanced standing in the pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program. This course is designed to facilitate the transi- tion of the licensed practical nurse to the role of a professional registered nurse. Emphasis is placed on validation of psychomotor nursing skills and competencies in clinical judgment, the nursing process, evidence- based nursing interventions, and professional values within a legal/ ethical framework throughout the lifespan. Pre-- or co-requisites: NURS 3003, 3103, 3002.
