Aural Skills III

Catalog description

Students study diatonic harmony, chromatic harmony (borrowed chords, secondary functions), and modulation through dictation and singing. A signifi cant portion of the course will focus on form through contextual lis- tening activities of excerpts from the common practice era. The course is intended to be taken concurrently with a corresponding theory course that is taught by the same instructor.
